Embsay Crag

Embsay Crag provides an excellent place to view Skipton and the surrounding area, including the approach to Skipton along the Aire Valley and the entry points into the Yorkshire Dales.

It is a reasonable tough climb up the Crag, made more difficult by the erosion which has occured on the ascent, but it is well worth the climb.

You can drive to Embsay Reservoir Car Park and then climb up the Crag, descend into Eastby and walk along Embsay Main street to have lunch or refreshments in the Elm Tree Pub.
