According to a survey by the Sunday Times, Skipton is the number one place to live in the United Kingdom in 2014, The Sunday Times 101 Best Places to Live in Britain named the market town of Skipton as the outright winner in their survey.

The reasons for Skipton’s winning position is due to the low crime rates, top class schools, good transport links, reasonably priced property, the bustling High Street and of course the surrounding contryside.

Over the years,Thisledo Holiday Cottage has had a number of visitors who have rented the cottage for a week whilst they searched for properties to buy in the area.
