Skipton Waterways Festival

Skipton has held a waterways festival for a number of years ( Year 12 in 2013) to celebrate all that is the boats on the Leeds Liverpool canal.

The event takes place over the May day Bank Holiday weekend and is a great tourist event, with fun entertainment and canal boats from all over the country.

If  staying on a canal boat on water, doesnt appeal, you can always find plenty of alernative accommodation, ranging from hotels, to Bed & Breakfast through to self catering cottages in Skipton.
