Thisledo Holiday Cottage, a popular pet friendly holiday property in the Yorkshire Dales has been awarded a Certificate of Excellence by Tripadvisor.
The Certificate of Excellence is given annually to those properties that provide consistently outstanding experiences and whose owners offer first-class customer service to their guests.

We have been using Tripadvisor for several years to take bookings for our Yorkshire Dales Holiday Cottage and in that time we have received a good selection of reviews from Guests on their experiences at the cottage, in Skipton and the Yorkshire Dales.

There are a variety of ways in which you can book a stay at Thisledo Holiday Cottage.
Our preferred method ( and the cheapest) is by giving us a call on 01756 795024 or sending us an email with the preferred dates of your stay. You can check the availability of the cottage here. If the cottage is available, we will ask for a 50% deposit and the balance is payable four weeks before your stay. Payment can be by bank transfer, cheque or via Paypal using a debit or credit card.
You can also book the cottage through most of the popular accommodation websites. Please click on the links below to be taken to our listing on those sites.
However you book you are always very welcome to come and stay at our charming Skipton holiday cottage.

It’s all change at Thisledo Holiday Cottage in Skipton this year. Normally, the holiday cottage is not available between October and May each year, but this year, we have decided to remain open all year around.
Over the years, lots of people have asked if they can book the cottage for Christmas, well this year you can. The cottage is available from the Christmas week, starting Saturday 24th December 2016 for £495. Please call 01756 795024 to book or book via Holiday Lettings/Tripadvisor.

Hello, I’m Molly and my Mum & Dad own Thisledo Holiday Cottage in Skipton. Skipton and the Yorkshire Dales are a great place to visit, lots of things to sniff, just don’t chase any sheep, that seems to upset your Mum & Dad. Have fun and maybe I might see you on one of your walks.

Skipton and the Yorkshire Dales are extremely popular as a tourist destination with many people looking to stay in suitable Holiday Cottage accommodation during their stay. If Thisledo Holiday Cottage does not tick all your boxes, then there are plenty of alternative cottages available in Skipton and the surrounding areas.
Many cottages are let through property letting websites such as Holiday Lettings, Owners Direct, I Know Yorkshire, Sykes Cottages, Cottages 4 You, Homeaway, Airbnb, etc. These websites provide you with a choice of hundreds of cottages for 2 people upwards, some of the larger properties can sleep a dozen people of more making them ideal for family and friend reunions.
However, if you prefer to deal direct with the owners of a cottage, then many properties now have their own websites and an increasing number have on line booking facilities. Of course, if you still prefer to talk, then book on the phone.
Whatever your holiday cottage selection cottage criteria, a few hours research on Google will result in finding your ideal Yorkshire Dales Holiday Cottage.

Many of the visitors to Thisledo Holiday Cottage in Skipton bring along their 4 legged companion to enjoy their holiday.
Many of the walks in and around Skipton offer an opportunity to stop along the way to enjoy a Pub Lunch, here’s one of our favourites which is also a big favourite for Molly our Cocker Spaniel.
Addingham is a small pretty village in between Skipton and Ilkley, about a 15 minute drive from the holiday cottage and is the starting point for a circular walk along the banks of the River Wharfe. We usually start in Addingham do the full walk and then have lunch in one of the Addingham Village Pubs. Of course you could start in Ilkley and have lunch before you turnaround and head back to Ilkley.

Happy New Year everyone.
Each January, it is clear from the number of bookings which we receive for the Holiday Cottage, that peoples thought have turned to planning their holidays. In the past 24 hours, we have received two enquiries about the cottage.
One of the questions, we are asked most is about car parking at the cottage.
The cottage shares a car parking area with the other cottages on Woodman Terrace & it is used on a first come, first served basis. If you cannot park in the shared area, we recommend parking on Gainsborough Court which is only a one minute walk away from the cottage. Skipton is a low crime area and the area around the cottage is very safe and secure. We have run the cottage for over 11 years and nobody has ever reported any problem with either parking or their cars. There is a 20 minute loading and unloading area by the cottage for use when you first arrive and leave the cottage.
We look forward to seeing regular guests again and to seeing some new faces.
